The round disc is made of galvanized steel sheet 2.5 to 3.2 dem thick to support the steel bar chairs. Around the plate, there is a 5mm high ledge so that the steel bar chair inside the disc do not slide out. The steel disc is used together with steel bar chair in the case that the ground base is not strong enough, such as soil, stone..., but not lining with lean concrete.
There are two common sizes: 154 & 224 (mm) diameter
The round disc can be combined to support both the bar chair for upper reinforcement layer and the spacer of lower reinforcement layer.
